Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and FirstLine Intelligence Systems, LLC, a limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), the developer and operator of Narrative AI ("Platform"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

The Platform is intended exclusively for authorized law enforcement personnel, agency administrators, and authorized government users. By using the Platform, you represent that: (a) you are at least 18 years of age; (b) you are employed by or acting on behalf of a law enforcement agency or authorized government entity; (c) you have the authority to bind your agency to these Terms if using an agency account; and (d) your use of the Platform complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

2. License to Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform solely for your authorized law enforcement documentation purposes. This license does not include the right to: (a) sublicense, resell, or redistribute the Platform or its outputs; (b) modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works; (c) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any component of the Platform; or (d) use the Platform for any unauthorized, unlawful, or prohibited purpose.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at info@narrative-ai.org if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we determine, in our sole discretion, pose a risk to the Platform or other users.

4. AI-Generated Content — Officer Responsibility

Narrative AI is an assistance tool only. All AI-generated content, including but not limited to draft narratives, summaries, and recommendations, must be reviewed, verified, and approved by the submitting officer prior to any official use or submission. The Platform does not replace officer judgment, professional training, or legal counsel. The Company makes no warranty that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, legally defensible, or suitable for any particular purpose. Officers remain solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and propriety of any report submitted using the Platform.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: (a) use the Platform to generate false, misleading, or fraudulent reports or documentation; (b) input personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary for report documentation; (c) share account access with unauthorized individuals; (d) use the Platform in connection with any criminal activity or civil rights violation; (e) interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure; or (f) access the Platform through automated means without prior written consent.

6. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its software, design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by FirstLine Intelligence Systems, LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the factual content you input into the Platform. You grant us a limited license to process your input solely for the purpose of providing the service. We do not claim ownership over your agency's incident data or report content.

7. Subscription and Payment

Use of the Platform requires a paid subscription as described in our Terms of Purchase. Subscriptions are billed in advance on an annual basis. Failure to maintain a valid subscription will result in suspension of Platform access. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly provided in our Terms of Purchase.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE AT ALL TIMES.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL FIRSTLINE INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS, LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FirstLine Intelligence Systems, LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) any report or content you generate or submit using the Platform; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason we deem appropriate. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including Sections 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 12.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-platform notice. Continued use of the Platform following such notice constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
