Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of the Narrative AI platform ("Platform") operated by FirstLine Intelligence Systems, LLC ("Company"). By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

1. Authorized Use

The Platform is authorized for use exclusively by: (a) sworn law enforcement officers employed by a subscribing agency; (b) authorized agency administrators managing departmental accounts; (c) supervisory personnel reviewing and approving reports; and (d) other individuals expressly authorized in writing by both the subscribing agency and FirstLine Intelligence Systems, LLC.

2. Permitted Uses

You may use the Platform to: (a) draft, generate, and refine incident reports and documentation relating to calls for service, arrests, use of force, and other law enforcement activities; (b) review AI-generated content and edit it to reflect accurate facts before submission; (c) run pre-submission risk audits using the IARE (Internal Affairs Risk Engine) feature; (d) manage and search your submitted reports; and (e) collaborate with supervisors and authorized personnel within your agency.

3. Prohibited Uses

You must not use the Platform to:

• Generate, submit, or distribute false, fabricated, or misleading police reports or official documentation;
• Conceal, minimize, or distort facts related to use of force, misconduct, or civil rights violations;
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any individual on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or other protected characteristic;
• Input or process classified, top-secret, or compartmented intelligence data;
• Share your login credentials with any unauthorized person;
• Access or attempt to access another user's account or agency data without authorization;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or AI model weights;
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access the Platform;
• Resell, license, or redistribute Platform access or outputs to third parties;
• Use the Platform for any purpose that violates applicable federal, state, or local law, including civil rights laws, CJIS requirements, or data protection regulations;
• Attempt to circumvent security measures, access controls, or usage limits;
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or other harmful files.

4. Data Input Standards

You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of all data you input into the Platform. Do not input: (a) CJIS-restricted data beyond what your agency has authorized for cloud-based tools; (b) juvenile personally identifiable information in violation of applicable law; (c) classified or national security information; or (d) data belonging to agencies other than your own.

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, you are encouraged to report it promptly to your agency administrator and to us at info@narrative-ai.org. We take violations seriously and will cooperate with appropriate authorities where required by law.

6. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP and to take any action we deem appropriate, including immediate suspension or termination of Platform access, preservation and disclosure of data to law enforcement, and referral of suspected criminal activity to appropriate authorities. We may also modify or discontinue access to features implicated in a violation.

7. Agency Responsibility

Agency administrators are responsible for ensuring that all personnel in their agency using the Platform comply with this AUP. Agencies should implement internal policies and training to ensure appropriate use.

8. Updates

We may update this AUP at any time. Continued use of the Platform after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
